Lamentablemente, el sector de la construcci\u00f3n es uno de los sectores m\u00e1s atrasados en este \u00e1mbito. Si hablamos del caso espec\u00edfico para Colombia, el tema se agudiza a\u00fan m\u00e1s, puesto que la visi\u00f3n de los grandes constructores no proyecta nuevas formas de llevar a la Gracias a mis ideas, estos nuevos m\u00e9todos simplificaron y agilizaron los procesos, potenciando positivamente los costos relacionados principalmente al tiempo.<\/p>\n<p>La innovaci\u00f3n en la construcci\u00f3n se puede abordar desde diferentes aristas. All\u00ed decidimos hacerlo por medio del benchmarking. Es decir, tratar de entender que se hac\u00eda en las diferentes empresas del mundo, que nosotros no hici\u00e9ramos ya. As\u00ed, comenzamos a asistir a ferias internacionales como \u201cWord of Concrete\u201d y \u201cBauma\u201d, con el fin investigar las innovaciones que las constructoras m\u00e1s grandes del mundo, de Am\u00e9rica y de nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Uno de los eslabones m\u00e1s importantes de nuestra estrategia fue la decisi\u00f3n de ser pioneros locales en las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas que estaban implementando nuestros proveedores y de sus respectivos\u00a0<em>stakeholders<\/em>. Esto nos llev\u00f3 a desarrollar el primer piloto en unos de los proyectos de construcci\u00f3n vertical en desarrollo, donde innovamos en la implementaci\u00f3n de nuevos equipos, como lo fueron los\u00a0<em>Placing booms<\/em>\u00a0y formaletas de gran formato mano-portables. Adicionalmente, adaptamos nuestros procesos constructivos, ya que, al comprar estos equipos despu\u00e9s de un an\u00e1lisis de proceso y econ\u00f3mico, liberamos la restricci\u00f3n de colocaci\u00f3n de concreto en altura.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, el proceso no consisti\u00f3 \u00fanicamente en la adquisici\u00f3n de los nuevos equipos. Tambi\u00e9n tuvimos que alinear cada uno de los procesos, para as\u00ed tener un flujo de trabajo uniforme en las actividades anteriores y posteriores a la misma. Por esto, implementamos las metodolog\u00edas de Teor\u00eda de Restricciones (TOC) en nuestros procesos constructivos.<\/p>\n<p>Un gran ejemplo: aumentar la capacidad de producci\u00f3n de las plantas de concreto, pasando de producir 17 m3\/hora a 31 m3\/h, analizando las restricciones y situando un amortiguador en el sistema. Esto increment\u00f3 en un 82% la productividad y nos acort\u00f3 los tiempos de vaciado.<\/p>\n<p>Posterior a estos ejercicios, analizamos la colocaci\u00f3n de acero, pues \u00e9sta se hab\u00eda convertido en la actividad m\u00e1s complicada en el ciclo de construcci\u00f3n de un edificio en altura. A ra\u00edz de esto, decidimos cambiar las torre gr\u00faas tradicionales que alquil\u00e1bamos por equipos de mayor capacidad de carga para, as\u00ed, tener menos movimientos y poder abastecer de manera m\u00e1s eficiente los aceros de la estructura. Otra estrategia que usamos para ahorrar tiempo en los proyectos el uso de equipos de capacidad auto-estable hasta de 89 m de altura sin necesidad de tener arriostramientos, de esta manera se liberaban entre 3 y 4 d\u00edas en los que se hac\u00edan los realces de los equipos para la estructura.<\/p>\n<p>Adicional a estos ejercicios cuyo eje fue la implementaci\u00f3n de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas, se comenz\u00f3 a trabajar con transporte de arena por medio de equipos neum\u00e1ticos. Se comenzaron a transportar los equipos en contenedores f\u00e1ciles de manipular en obra, se movieron materiales con ayudas mec\u00e1nicas como minicargadores y montacargas, y finalmente se logr\u00f3 la compra e implementaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00eda de punta que, en conjunto con la implementaci\u00f3n de la metodolog\u00eda BIM, empez\u00f3 a posicionar a esta compa\u00f1\u00eda como un referente de implementaci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica en funci\u00f3n de la innovaci\u00f3n. Como resultados finales, se generaron ahorros en tiempo y en costo, un aumento significativo en la calidad de vida de las personas que laboran en los centros de trabajo y una reducci\u00f3n en el impacto ambiental, con menores desperdicios y un mejor aprovechamiento de los recursos.<\/p>\n<p>Por \u00faltimo, quisiera resaltar que la interdisciplinariedad es de gran importancia para innovar en la construcci\u00f3n y entender los diferentes puntos de vista que hay aqu\u00ed. El valor de la construcci\u00f3n no est\u00e1 en repetir los mismos modelos que nos han guiado los \u00faltimos 4700 a\u00f1os, desde los egipcios. En cambio, est\u00e1 en c\u00f3mo nos adaptamos e incorporamos las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas en los procesos constructivos de hoy.
